Why get Australian PR?

  • They’re looking for skilled immigrants: there are many job openings and immigration is easier for qualified people from India.
  • You’ll get benefits like universal healthcare, free education for children, and a path to citizenship.

How to apply for Australian PR

There are 3 main steps:

  1. Skill assessment: Get your skills assessed by an official body.
  2. Visa approval: Submit your application and documents. The government will review it and decide if you qualify.
  3. Prepare to move: Once your visa is approved, you can move to Australia.

Who can apply?

  • Generally, you must be under 45 years old and score at least 65 points on a point system.
  • Points are awarded for things like age, English skills, work experience, and education.
  • There are different visa options depending on your situation (e.g., skilled worker, business owner, student).

What are the requirements?

To be eligible, you’ll need things like:

  • A valid skill assessment
  • English language test scores
  • Health insurance
  • Police background check

The higher you score on the point system, the better your chances of getting approved

  • Register your interest:

    • Apply through SkillSelect, specifying your skills and desired visa type.
    • There are three main visa categories:
      • Subclass 189: Skilled Independent (permanent anywhere in Australia)
      • Subclass 190: Skilled Nominated (permanent in a specific state)
      • Subclass 491: Skilled Regional (temporary with a path to permanent residency)
  • Wait for an invitation to apply (ITA):

    • If you meet the requirements, you’ll be invited to formally apply.
  • Submit your PR application:

    • Include all required documents within 60 days of receiving the ITA.
  • Get your PR visa and move to Australia!
